Change in Release Schedule of What’s New on FamilySearch
The release date for What’s New on FamilySearch has been moved from the last Friday of each month to the last Thursday.
Memories: The Submission Agreement for the Memories Gallery
The first time you upload memories using the Gallery, you will be asked to accept the FamilySearch Content Submission Agreement. To indicate that you will comply with the agreement, you must check the box. To read the FamilySearch.org Content Submission Agreement and the Upload Guidelines pages, click the links. If you do not accept, you will not be able to upload memories.
When You Change Information, How Many Users Will Be Notified?
Last month this feature was reported in Coming Soon. It is now available:
To increase the collaborative feel of Family Tree, when you edit a person’s information, like birth or occupation, the system now displays the number of users who are watching that person. Watching means that users have asked the system to notify them when changes or additions are made to the person in Family Tree. If no one is watching the person, the banner does not appear.
This feature appeared last month in the Recently Released section, but it should have been included in Coming Soon.
The person card displayed on the search pages is being updated to match the person card that you see in Family Tree. The new card includes the Watch or Unwatch control and the number of Sources, Discussions, and Memories.
